- January 2019 in Xamarin.Mac Is there a specific reason why Xamarin doesn't support building Mac apps from Visual Studio on Windows, the same way it pairs to a Mac to compile for iOS projects? I'm glad there is a path with Visual Studio for Mac, but I find it less productive (time-wise) for me personally than when I'm writing iOS apps on Visual Studio in Windows then compiling paired to a Mac.
- It seems to be easy enough to create Android and IOS apps on Xamarin in Visual Studio, but I can't see how to create OSX apps. On the Xamarin download page for Windows/VS it states that this 'Includes the following: Mac - Develop Apps with Xamarin.Mac'. There is no option to create an OSX/Mac project.
- Yes I've connected my Mac agent, everything has latest update. When I hit 'Build' it just says in console: 1- Build started: Project: Mrs.iOS, Configuration: Debug iPhoneSimulator -And its just stuck there. I have Visual Studio Community Edition, Xcode runs on macOS El Capitan and I want to build it on a simulator.
